Orders & Shipping

When will my order ship?

Orders placed Monday to Friday before 3:00 pm ship the same day. Orders placed after 3:00 pm ship the next business day. We do not ship on weekends.

How do I check my order status?

Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number. You can track your order in real time using the tracking number on the courier website. Alternatively, you can sign in to your account at any time to check the status of your current order or review previous orders.

How long does delivery take?

Most of our parcels are letterbox friendly and usually arrives the next business day. Sometimes life (or the postal service) causes delays, but it’s rare.

How much is shipping?

For smaller orders under £20, delivery is just £2.50. Free shipping on orders over £20.

Do you ship internationally?

Nope. UK only. Which means no customs, no extra fees, no headaches.

Where does my order ship from?

We are a proud small business based in Scotland. Every order is carefully packed and shipped directly from us, and unlike print on demand products, our designs are pure art and 100% original.

Where’s my order?

Once your order ships, you’ll get a confirmation email. Delivery is usually next business day, so check your letterbox.

What if my order doesn’t fit through the letterbox?

Larger orders or big boxes may not fit through the letterbox. The courier may deliver to a resident, safe place, or neighbour, depending on their policy. Please check with the courier to set your delivery preference.

Do you offer gift wrap?

We do not offer gift wrapping. However, our boxes are elegant and luxurious on their own, so no extra wrapping is necessary.

Returns & Refunds

Can I return something if I don’t like it?

Yes, you’ve got 14 days to change your mind. Check out our Refund Policy for the details.

Do you offer free returns?

Not at the moment. As a small business, we’re unable to cover full return costs, but don’t worry, the return process is quick and easy.

What if my order arrives damaged or wrong?

That’s on us. Email us at info@basicbastard.co.uk and we’ll fix it quickly.

How long do refunds take?

Once your parcel is back with us and checked, we’ll issue your refund immediately. Banks can take up to 7 days to show it, but usually it’s quicker.

Subscriptions

Do you offer subscriptions?

Yes! THE SOCK HAMPER™ is available as a monthly subscription or every other month, delivering fresh socks on autopilot while saving you money compared to one-time purchases.

Do I need an account for subscriptions?

No, an account is not required to subscribe. However, creating an account makes it easier to manage your subscription, pause or skip deliveries, and update delivery preferences.

Can I cancel or change my subscription?

Yes! You can adjust your delivery frequency, update payment details, or cancel your subscription anytime. If you have an account, this process is quicker and more convenient.

How do I update my subscription?

You can update your subscription anytime, including changing your delivery frequency, updating payment details, or pausing or canceling future deliveries. If you have an account, simply sign in for quick and easy updates. If you don’t have an account, please email us at info@basicbastard.co.uk and we’ll help make the changes for you.

What is your cancellation policy?

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit and debit cards, plus secure payment options (Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal depending on your browser). All payments are handled safely by our payment providers.

Do you store my card details?

Nope. We do not store your payment information, it’s securely handled by our payment processor.

Do I need an account to order?

You do not need an account to place an order, but creating one makes re-ordering and tracking easier.

How can I check or manage my information?

You can see what information we hold about you, including your name, email, phone number, and delivery address, by using the “Sign in” option on our website. We’ll send a one-time code to your email, which lets you access your past orders and manage any subscriptions or upcoming deliveries easily. If you prefer, you can also email us at info@basicbastard.co.uk and we’ll help you access or update your information.

Do you have a physical location?

Currently, no, we operate fully online. However, we do attend markets and pop-ups occasionally, and we announce these events on our website and social media.

Can I update my address after ordering?

Email us at info@basicbastard.co.uk as soon as possible. If your order hasn’t shipped yet, we’ll update it. If it’s already gone, it’s probably too late.

Can I contact you before ordering?

Absolutely! You can email us at info@basicbastard.co.uk or use the Contact form on our website. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Do I need a password to create an account?

No! Our sign in and account creation process is completely passwordless. You will receive a one-time code that lets you sign in quickly and securely. Creating an account works the same way, making signing in simple and hassle free every time.

Are your products limited edition?

Most of our products are part of limited collections. Once a design sells out, it won’t be restocked. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.

Do you sell gift cards?

Not at the moment, but perhaps in the future if circumstances allow.

How do I sign in or create an account?

Our sign in and sign up process is completely passwordless. Simply click “Sign in”, type in your email and you will receive a one time code. Enter the code and you are in, simple as that. Once signed in, you can set up your address, payment method and anything else you need.
